Fes Sahara Desert Marrakech

Fes Sahara Desert Marrakech starting from Fez, and passing by the Sahara Desert. We will see valleys and oases, Ait Ben Hadou Kasbah, Barbary macaque of Azrou, and have a camel trekking in the desert, and more exciting places to see.

Itinerary

Day 1Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga (Fes Sahara Desert Marrakech)

At 8 am we will meet you in Fez, and then drive you to the Sahara Desert, we will pass by the Switzerland of Morocco, Ifran, take a stop at the cedar forests of Azrou to see monkeys, and at Midelt for lunch. We will continue from there to the desert, crossing by several stunning places, especially the wonderful Ziz valley, Erfoud, and Rissani. In our arrival to Merzouga, we will check-in in a hotel to spend a night there.

Day 2Merzouga “Erg Chebbi Dunes” (Fes Sahara Desert Marrakech)

In the morning, you will have a tour in the place visiting Khamlia village, which it is said that it is the village of the black Gnaoua, who came from Sudan. At Khamlia, you will visit their workplace, listen to their music, and get an idea about their culture. After that, we will take lunch at Rissani. An exciting camel trek is waiting for you through the high dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you are going to spend an outstanding night in the camp Accompanied with dinner.

Day 3Merzouga – Erfoud – Rissani – Dades Gorges (Fes Sahara Desert Marrakech)

Enjoy the sun rising in the desert; in which the sun displays a wonderful view which is worthy to see. After taking your breakfast, we will be travelling via the high Atlas toward Erfoud and Rissani, to eat the Berber Pizza “Medfouna”, and then continue to Todra Gorges, these limestone river canyons are spectacular to walk in between them, before finally arriving to Dades Gorges, to stay a night, which are another Gorges characterized by their rock formations labeled as “Monkey toes”.

Day 4Dades Gorges – The Valley of Roses – Skoura Oasis – Ouarzazate

After taking your breakfast, you are about to leave Dades Gorges and continue to Ouarzazate, crossing the high Atlas Mountains, and taking an off-road by the 4*4 to see the Berber village out there, and to Kelaat M’gouna to visit the Valley of Roses, where pure and local cosmetics are produced and sold throughout Morocco; you can buy some if you wish, and then to Skoura Oasis, until Ouarzazate. Ouarzazate is considered the Hollywood of Morocco, visiting Taourirt Kasbah, and the Atlas film studios, before check-in in a hotel to spend a night.

Day 5Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou- Marrakech

On the last day, but not least and after breakfast, we will depart to Ait Ben Haddou, which is a Unesco World Heritage site. In fact it’s a very famous Kasbah in Morocco. After the visit, we will continue via Tizi-N-Tichka pass, and the highest mountains in Africa to reach Marrakech, until then, our tour will end.
